I am very pleased with the Spanish Immersion program at the LePort Montessori Huntington Harbor campus. Mrs. Del Valle is patient and caring with her students. It is amazing to see how much Spanish the students, including my daughter, have absorbed since only September. They all understand what is being asked of them in Spanish, and I’ve witnessed students helping each other respond and ask questions in Spanish: this is mentoring within the classroom at its best! My 4 1/2 year old daughter is bringing home books and reading in Spanish and seems to be having loads of fun while learning. LePort’s Spanish immersion Montessori preschool program, offered at the Huntington Harbor campus in North Huntington Beach, literally gives children the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to effortlessly master Spanish, while also building a strong foundation in a broad range of Montessori preschool skills.
- Full Spanish language immersion to achieve bilingualism. Children learn language best by experiencing it naturally, by being immersed in it. Our Spanish immersion preschool program is led by two Spanish-speaking teachers: a Spanish-speaking Montessori preschool head teacher and a Spanish-speaking assistant teacher.
- Montessori preschool environment. A rich Montessori preschool environment supports optimal Spanish language learning by tying language to a broad range of day-to-day activities. Children learn all Montessori preschool skills and activities, from Practical Life to Sensorial, from language to math, in Spanish, and thus naturally acquire a broad vocabulary in their new second language.
- Attractive Huntington Beach preschool campus. The Spanish immersion preschool program is integrated into our Montessori program in North Huntington Beach. The Huntington Harbor campus has been in operation for over 10 years and offers nice facilities, huge playgrounds, and even a garden for children to work in as they develop Spanish language skills in many day-to-day activities.
