After School & Enrichment Home / Programs / After School Our after-school programs allow our students to try new things, which fit perfectly with our extended care hours. We offer many options, from sports and art to academic clubs, so every child can find something that they enjoy. Our programs are a great way for our students to keep learning and working on their individual skills. Whether your child loves being creative, enjoys being active, or wants to learn something new, we help them follow their passions. Many of our programs encourage teamwork and socializing, helping students build friendships and learn how to communicate with others. Contact Us Overview Variety: We offer everything from creative arts and dance to sports and academic clubs. Session Structure: We have four sessions each year: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Each session lasts from 6 to 13 weeks. Cost: Class costs vary, depending on items such as the length of the session and materials needed. Schedule: Classes happen right after school and last between 30 minutes and an hour. If many children want to join, we may add a second session later in the day. Toddler Programs Dance: Toddlers will learn tap, ballet, creative movement, and tumbling. They will also use props like pom-poms and tambourines to help build their coordination, memory, and confidence. Yoga: With a certified instructor, toddlers will practice deep breathing, yoga poses, and play yoga games that help them focus and relax. Soccer: Toddlers explore soccer through games, songs, and positive encouragement. They will learn to dribble and follow the basic rules. Preschool Programs Art: Preschoolers will learn to draw by combining shapes to create objects, helping them develop their creativity and confidence. Dance: Similar to our toddler dance program, classes include tap, ballet, creative movement, and tumbling. They help to build memory, balance, and confidence. Gymnastics: Preschoolers explore gymnastics using vaults, bars, beams, and floor routines. They improve their motor skills with fun exercises and professional instruction. Montessori in Motion: This program introduces children to different sports like baseball and basketball. It teaches them the rules of each game and terms like “home run” or “three-pointer”. Java Programming: For our students in 5th grade through 8th grade, this hands-on class teaches students how to create fun graphics and games while learning the basics of Java coding. Newspaper Club: Our students work together to write articles about sports, entertainment, and current events. They learn teamwork and communication while making a school newspaper. Photography Club: This club teaches our students how to take great photos using light, space, and timing. Whether it is nature, action, or portraits, our students will learn techniques for stunning pictures. No fancy cameras are needed! Other Enrichment Opportunities Field Trips: We believe that learning happens everywhere, not just in our classrooms. This is why we take our students on field trips to exciting places like museums, nature centers, and more. These trips help them connect what they have learned in class to the real world around them. Playground Learning: At LePort, playground time is more than just recess. Our teachers help guide the kids in games and activities. As students stay active and make friends, everyone learns how to work together and play safely. Our teachers make sure that all students feel happy and included while they play. Special Events & Spirit Days: Throughout the year, we have special events and Spirit Days to make school fun. From dressing up on Halloween to having friendly competitions, these events bring everyone together and create a strong sense of community.
