With gentle guidance, clear structure, and purposeful work, we help your child build their confidence and learn skills that they will need for life. We know that young children learn best when they have freedom within limits. Our Toddler classrooms are made for children ages 18 months to 3 years. They are filled with items that are designed for their age, and that encourage them to move and learn at their own pace. Our classrooms are set up to help toddlers grow in all these areas. They include small tables, chairs, and shelves so toddlers can choose their own activities. We also include practical life materials to encourage pouring and sweeping to help our students build fine motor skills. Stacking blocks, puzzles, and sorting games encourage our students to explore. Gross motor materials, like push toys, ramps, and steps, help them practice balance and coordination. Language Development Language Development Toddlers are naturally curious about language and love to communicate. Our students name objects, sing songs, and learn new words every day. We introduce basic phonetic awareness through playful games, helping toddlers start to understand how letters and sounds fit together. This early language exposure helps set the stage for future reading success. Our environment is language rich, with both English and other languages—like Spanish and Mandarin in our immersion programs—helps our students build strong language skills. Independence & Confidence Independence & Confidence Toddlers are eager to learn how to do things on their own. We help them as they practice skills such as dressing themselves, toilet learning, preparing and serving snacks, and cleaning up after themselves. These tasks help our students feel proud of all that they can do on their own. Social Skills & Emotional Awareness Social Skills & Emotional Awareness We help our toddlers develop social skills and emotional awareness in different ways. Our teachers model respectful behavior and guide their students in learning how to share, take turns, and express their feelings in words. We create a place where they feel safe and supported as they learn how to interact with others. Motor Development Motor Development Our toddlers use toys that they can push and pull, which helps them develop strong muscles and balance for walking. They also love climbing and balancing on low steps and ramps. Actions like pouring water or stacking blocks help our students use their small muscles and improve fine motor skills. The Prepared Environment Schedule & Routine Daily schedules and routines work to create an environment in which our toddlers feel safe and secure. We mix active playtime with quiet moments, allowing them to play, explore, and rest in a way that meets their needs. We work closely with our parents to ensure that our classroom routines and routines at home work together to support each child. Whether it is nap time, snack time, or toilet learning, our teachers keep things consistent so our toddlers feel comfortable and confident throughout their day.
