The health and safety of our children and families are our highest priorities. To mitigate the risks of COVID-19 while children are in our care, we have adopted additional health and safety measures based on CDC guidelines, state and local regulations, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Given the evolving situation, we will continue to update these protocols as necessary.

Facial Coverings

Staff and 1st-8th grade students are required to wear face coverings inside the school. Toddler and Primary students are recommended to wear face coverings inside the school. Coverings do not need to be worn while eating, sleeping and playing outside. Families should provide masks to students prior to entering the school building. However, based on evolving local guidance, there may be further requirements.

Health Checks

We screen temperatures of staff and children before entering the school. A person with a temperature of at least 100.4 degrees or showing other signs of illness is not permitted to enter. If a child becomes ill during the day, they will stay in a separate area while awaiting pickup.

Safe Distancing

Staff members are the only adults permitted to enter our school buildings. Pick up and drop off take place outside the facility. Seating areas are spaced a minimum of six feet apart.

All lunches are brought from home. Snacks are provided individually in single servings.

During Infant, Toddler, and Primary nap times, cots are placed head to toe, not face to face where applicable. Infant and Toddler bedding are washed daily. Primary bedding is washed weekly.

In addition to after-hours sanitation, handwashing and disinfecting are done throughout the day. Staff will wear disposable gloves for serving food, changing diapers/toileting, etc. Playgrounds will be cleaned twice daily.

Class Size

Our teacher-to-student ratios are 1:4 for Infants, 1:6 for Toddlers, and 1:12 for Primary, respectively; however, maximum class size will always adhere to state guidelines. To minimize exposure, field trips and after school programs are suspended at this time.

Temporary Closure Policy

  • If a student or staff becomes infected with a confirmed case of COVID-19 at a campus, the campus may close for 3-5 days, depending on the local health department directive, size of the campus, and length of time needed for deep cleaning and disinfecting
  • Person(s) infected would need to quarantine for 14 days before returning to campus.
