Welcome to LePort Montessori Reston

Since 2001, our school has been offering high-quality Montessori programs for toddlers and preschool/kindergarten children.

Nestled in the Cedar Chase neighborhood, we’re just south of Route 7 and a few minutes east of the Fairfax County Parkway. Our school is in a spacious, freestanding building custom-built as a Montessori school. Each of our classrooms is a bright space, where natural light filters through large windows, and each room features an en suite bathroom for the children. Our Great Room with its central library serves as a gathering space for our community, where children come for in-house field trips and presentations, and where families gather in our tight-knit community to celebrate holidays, graduations and other special events.

After 21 years of offering Montessori education under the Boyd School name, we are now joining the LePort Schools community. Our founders have chosen LePort Schools to continue their legacy of offering high-quality Montessori programs in Loudoun and Fairfax counties since 1994.  We’re excited about this transition, and look forward to the benefits it will bring—such as adding a Spanish immersion Montessori program for toddlers and preschool/kindergarten. Dear Family,
Educating children is in my family’s blood you could say: I’ve been a Montessori teacher for ten years before becoming the Campus Director, and my husband teaches at our Chantilly school. Both of our daughters have been attending our schools since they were toddlers—and while I knew from teaching just how independent and confident Montessori children were, I was still in awe when my older daughter at age two set the dinner table (with my good china!)—and then asked to do the dishes afterwards.

Montessori truly lays the foundation for life: children become capable, independent doers, ready to happily embrace challenges, academic and social, as they grow.

I’d love to show you how this happens: please contact us so I can show you our school during an individual tour. Or come in for one of our regular events.

I hope to see you soon,
Melissa Ann Camuti
Head of School

How to Get Started

Discovering our school is easy, with many convenient ways to get to know us.

  • Start by exploring the web site. Discover why parents at our schools love LePort—and how Montessori has the potential to change your child’s life, how at each stage, from infancy to elementary, she’ll thrive during her Knowledge for Life journey, how our Passionate Professionalism promise will help you feel secure in your choice, and how our beautiful, carefully prepared environments may make you wish you were a child again!

  • Come in for a tour. Just contact us via phone, or via the web form at the bottom of this page, and we’ll get right back to you to schedule your tour. Tours usually happen in the mornings: we want you to be able to see our classrooms in action!
  • Attend an event. Our Parent Info Sessions cover a wide range of topics—from why to choose Montessori to how to approach toilet learning with your toddler, from how to foster literacy in preschoolers to the holy grail of how to raise a child who can think on his own. Our Open Houses allow you to visit our school on weekends—and to explore the entire campus with your child.
